Many people know the problem and are especially affected by it in spring, they sneeze all the time but aren't sure whether it is an allergy or not.
We developed ALFA precisely to find out.

Research
We started by researching how many people have allergies and which ones are most common. We came to the conclusion, that inhalation allergies are the most widespread. Pollen allergies in particular stand out.

Furthermore we examined and tried out various pollen warning apps. Through this we discovered that they only show forecasts and not the actual pollen load.

Concept
After our research, we started with the conception and formulated this target sentence: “A clickable measuring device that draws in air and thereby measures inhalation allergens from the air and evaluates this data in an app.“

ALFA therefore consist of a pendant and an app. The pendant measures inhalation allergens from the air und passes this data on to the app. If you indicate an allergic reaction on the pendant, after a few weeks of use, the app can use the collected data to determine whether you have an allergy.
If you already know your allergy, you can see on the app when the allergens are strongest and which places are most affected. The app then helps you find a route that is allergen-free as possible.
